TV’s favorite obsessive-compulsive detective Monk returns for an all-new season. This year, Monk (three-time Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub) matches wits with a brilliant chess master who is suspected of murdering his wife. In the US, Monk’s seventh season saw a 20 per cent bump in the ratings, in part due to the stellar lineup of guest stars, including Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), Howie Mandel (Deal or No Deal), Sarah Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Program), Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue), Ricardo Chavira (Desperate Housewives) and Angela Kinsey (The Office).
